Voice actor for 'Charlie Brown' is a character but not a lovable one

The man behind the voice of Charlie Brown, that lovable character “loyal to his friends, patient with his sister, and dedicated to a dog which only thinks of him as ‘that round-headed kid’,” appeared in court today according to a Jan. 23, Associated Press report.

Prosecutors said Peter Robbins, the 56-year-old voice actor, “repeatedly threatened his former girlfriend, calling her as many as 37 times in a 24-hour period on her cellphone and telling her he would kill her and her son if she did not give back his dog and car.”

Additionally, Robbins threatened the plastic surgeon that performed breast enhancement surgery on his ex. Authorities said Robbins paid for the breast enhancement and was demanding his money back after they broke up; he allegedly called the surgeon’s office repeatedly until she moved to a hotel out of fear and stationed an armed security guard outside her clinic.

Robbins entered a plea Wednesday, Jan. 23, of not guilty in San Diego Superior Court to two counts of stalking and 10 counts of making criminal threats.

One can only imagine what Robbins was thinking - Good grief!
