The VMAs is a show no one ever wants to miss. With all the announcements of performances and rumors of a possible *NSYNC reunion, this year's show may have been the most anticipated one yet. Everyone tunes in to the VMAs because something epic is always bond to happen. With performances and stunts by Britney Spears, Madonna and Christina Aguilera kissing, Kanye interrupting poor Taylor Swift during her speech and Beyonce announcing her pregnancy, the expectations rise every year. So what epic moments did the VMAs bring to us this year?
Lady Gaga opened the show with of course, a strange and different performance of "Applause". No doubt her performance was unbelievable. One question though, was the booing part of the act or a real reaction from the audience?
Next performer to come on stage was Miley Cyrus with her dancing teddy bears to sing "We Can't Stop". Unsurprisingly, she twerked her behind off. Robin Thicke soon joined her to duet the popular summer song, "Blurred Lines". The songs led to 2 Chains and Kendrick Lamar joining their performance.
Kanye West performed "Blood On the Leaves" in the dark. Although you could barely see him, you can definitely feel the performance.
The unforgettable performance by Justin Timberlake lasted over 15 minutes. He not only sang songs from all three albums that brought him here but his former band mates joined him. The anticipation of the *NSYNC reunion had all the former teen boppers of the '90s screeching once again and made them all swoon. The *NSYNC reunion may have been a bit too short for some people but Justin's performance was perfect. It may have left viewers confused though, were we watching the VMA's or a JT concert?
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performed "Same Love", a song beautifully sang to advocate for equality.
Drake performed "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Started From the Bottom". Needless to say, Drake killed his performance. It is exactly what you would expect from one of the best rappers/singer today.
Bruno Mars and his beautiful voice sang his new song "Gorilla".
Ending the show right, Katy Perry performed her power embracing song, "Roar". In a boxing ring and full ensemble of a fighter, Katy's performance closed the VMA's well.
Biggest winner of the night was Justin Timberlake who took home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award along with best editing, best direction and video of the year.
Macklemore took home the awards for best Hip Hop video and best video with a social message. Other winners include One Direction, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Bruno Mars.
The night was epic. Justin Timberlake definitely stole the show with his performance and reunion with his former band *NSYNC. No one interrupted anyone's speech or came on stage with a huge snake around their necks but the performances were amazing enough to make this year's VMA's a night to remember.
