The crowd went Gaga over Lady Gaga as she opened for the VMA MTV music awards, last night at Barclay Theatre in Brookyn, NY.
Only Mother monster's little "monsters" understood her message on stage. It was her first performance since her hip surgery.
Lady Gaga was theatrical in her act as she always is. She changed wigs incorporating into the timeline to her success. She was telling her story through "Applause"
"Gaga's routine was not easy to pull off with all the quick changes on cue and even a bit of face painting. Pure artistry." says Evelyn Allen of Port Washington.
Miley Cyrus; however, stunned the audience members when she stripped down and gyrated inappropriately as she performed a duet with Robin Thicke to the hit "Blurred Lines."
The 20 year old shamelessly cavorted on stage using a foam finger inappropriately touching Robin Thick while grinding on him. Cyrus made Gaga look tame.
But it was Cyrus who stole the show, not in a positive manner. She appeared on stage with a multitude of tongue sticking teddy bears in a body suit adorned with a cartoon character,. She slapped a woman's butt onstage and paraded around shaking her own butt and continuously sticking her tongue out. Classless needless to say. Surely there was an earthquake attributed to Walt Disney in his grave.
She changed into a flesh colored bikini giving Robin Thick a lap dance. Every celebrity took to Twitter in a matter of seconds - comments and opinions exploded on facebook as well to Cyrus' racy moves.
The evening's best performances came from Justine Timberlake and Bruno Mars. Timberlake who won big, taking home the top prize for video of the year for "Mirrors" and a special achievement award. He performed for 20 minutes singing segments of all his hits. He also led a much anticipated onstage reunion with his boy band 'N Sync.
Hip-hop artists Maclemore & Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars were among other top winners, with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis taking home three awards, including best hip-hop video.
Worst performance was Kanye West.
