MTV's VMA Awards 2013 will start at 9 p.m., ET live at Brooklyn's Barclays Center Sunday night. For the west coast, this would mean 6 p.m., PT when the awards begin. The red carpet appearances will begin at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m., PT after the VMA special of MTV's Rapfix Live broadcast from the venue, Spin reports Aug. 23.
The report states that "definite" performers of the VMA Awards 2013 are Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Drake, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Lady Gaga will open the awards and Katy Perry will close. Those who are "rumored," but strongly expected to perform, are Daft Punk and N'Sync.
An N'Sync reunion is getting all the buzz for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The group's reunion is anticipated to ramp up viewership Sunday night when the awards air live.
Taylor Swift, One Direction, Selena Gomez, A$AP Rocky, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Jared Leto will participate in the VMAs, but it's unknown what some of their roles will be.
Justin Timberlake will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from Jimmy Fallon during the 2013 VMAs.
This year there will be no host for the VMAs, which will be a new angle so more musicians will take part in the show.
