A Venezuelan newspaper reported on Jan. 10 that Vittorio Missoni's body has been found. According to their reports, his body was found floating along the coast. The Daily Beast also reported that the floating corpse has been linked to the fashion designer.
The body is the only one found in the ocean. It's reported to be in the "early stages of decomposition." The body was found 500 meters off the coast of the island of La Guaira.
Missoni's plane was found missing on Saturday, Jan. 5. The designer and his crew took flight on Friday, Jan. 4. There were a total of six people, including two crew members and four passengers. The plane has been reported to disappear 11 miles off the coast of Venezuela.
Reports surfaced that Vittorio Missoni and his crew could've possibly been kidnapped. So far, there hasn't been any proof supporting this claim. It's also not known if the flight crashed into the sea. At least 400 members of the search and rescue team have been searching for survivors since the plane disappeared late Friday.
