Vitamin D deficiency is not uncommon in today’s population, and people with low blood concentrations’ of vitamin C have severe asthma. Vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients for lung health, especially if you smoke or live with smokers. Vitamin C can prevent cystic fibrosis, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Vitamin C deficient lungs
A two-year study from the National Academy of Sciences shows a vitamin C deficient body has lungs which lack the normal hydration of airway surfaces leaving the lungs dry, with sticky mucus membranes lining the airways for asthma attacks which lead to inflammatory diseases and infections. Tiredness and weakness. Muscle and joint pains, easy bruising, nosebleeds, problems fighting infections.
Vitamin C and smoking
A government study shows oxidation and degradation of lung plasma proteins causes accumulation of carbonyl, bityrosine and a loss of tryptophan and protein thiols. Complete protection by the antioxidant vitamin C from smoking damage also protects smokers from degenerative diseases associated with smoking or living in a smoking home.
As you avoid smoke, minimize stress and eating junk foods, and dairy products, and adding exercise to your day, over time the daily dosage can be reduced to get the same desired effects and zero asthma attacks. Vitamin C in anti-inflammatory and can replace antibiotics, antihistamines, antitoxics and antiviral drugs, talk to your health practitioner.
Children through adults are relived from asthmatic attacks by large doses of vitamin C. Starting in the morning, preferably on a day when you don’t have to work or go to school begin with 1,000-2,000 mg (children 500-1,000) of vitamin C every hour until it produces a loose stool or diarrhea. Then adjust your dosage to stay below the loose stool stage but adjusting it high enough that asthma symptoms are relieved. For adults, considering your diet, allergens, health and environmental toxins, the dosage could be as high as 15,000 to 50,000 a day taken throughout the day.
Why it works
Vitamin C is the best way to also prevent colds. If you feel one coming on begin taking 1,000-2,000mg every waking hour until the cold is gone. More colds may mean trigger child cancers.
Vitamin C strengthens connective tissue and the immune system, increases resistance to viruses and kills, and takes the power out of free radicals.
Low stomach acid can lead to infections in the lungs because intestinal flora is able to travel up the gut up to the lungs. Taking drugs that block the acid also blocks the vitamin C, and dampens the immune system.
More vitamin C equals less medication. It’s better than a flu shot and it doesn’t cause you to get the flu to get rid of the flu.
