Looking for a fun and different activity this week? Why not learn something about San Mateo county's history. There are activities for both children and adults at Redwood City's history museum, located in the historic courthouse downtown.

Many people have several days off thanks to the New Year. Lucky for you, that coincides with the San Mateo History Museum's monthly Free First Friday event. Admission to the museum is free to all on Friday, January 3, with an activity for preschool-age children held at 11 am, where you can learn about local inventors and make your own robot to take home. At 2 pm an hour-long tour of the museum will be offered for adults.
