Charlotte preschool families drive about 35 minutes southwest to find the perfect Christmas tree from the land of 10,000 trees, Lutz Tree Farm near Clover, SC.
Lutz Tree Farm is family-owned and run by a couple who remember their repeat customers from year to year. They have been in business for several years, and they may remember that you like marshmallows in the hot chocolate they offer.
There is no other tradition like walking through rolling acres of evergreens past a beautiful lake to choose the perfect Christmas tree, cut it down, have it drilled and shaken, and drive it home to fill your home with the aroma of pine or a related variety. Don’t worry about having a herniated disk or lack of strength. If you are unable to cut down your tree and load it into your truck or jeep, the Lutz couple will do it for you.
While you are there, purchase an extra tree for an individual or family in need. Teach your preschoolers the intrinsic reward of holiday giving.
Lutz Tree Farm is open every day until dark. Monday through Thursday they open at 11:30 a.m. and on the weekends they open at 9 a.m.
Lutz Tree Farm is located at 756 Neelands Rd., Clover, SC. For more information, call 704-860-5604 or 803-627-2392. They are also posted on Facebook.
