Chicago families looking for fun and inexpensive fall activities for kids can visit local Lakeshore Learning Stores during the month of October 2013 so that boys and girls can try out some free children's crafts. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each Saturday, children will be provided with the free supplies needed to complete a cute craft activity that is often themed to the current season and any holidays occurring during the month.
On Saturday, October 5, kids can come to Lakeshore Learning Stores to learn how to make and decorate adorable farm animal stick puppets.
On Saturday, October 12, boys and girls can get ready to decorate their homes for fall by using scratch-through rainbow paper to make unique pumpkin patch door hangers.
On Saturday, October 19, children can prepare for Halloween by using craft supplies and paper plates to make funny and scary monster masks.
On Saturday, October 26, kids can try out another Halloween-themed craft: making cute cups for holding Trick-or-Treat goodies.
