Chicago moms and dads looking for inexpensive and educational fun for their children can bring their daughters and sons to area Lakeshore Learning Stores for free children's crafts during the month of March 2013. Each Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., store employees will provide visitors with all of the craft supplies they need to complete a new, cute craft, often themed to the current season of spring.

On Saturday, March 2, kids can help celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday by listening to stories, playing games, and enjoying free crafts including making a cute birthday clown puppet.

On Saturday, March 9, children can get ready to spot the first flowers of spring by making a collage decorated with blooming plants and their own personal photo.

On Saturday, March 16, boys and girls can put together simple 3-D butterflies and attach them to a colorful background scene.

On Saturday, March 23, children can try another spring-themed craft: making a door hanger by using a paper plate as the backdrop for a collage picture of a bird's nest.

On Saturday, March 30, boys and girls can prepare for Easter by creating adorable treat baskets that look like colorful winged spring bugs.
