Visit Lakeshore Learning Stores for free children's crafts during April 2013

Chicago parents searching for fun and inexpensive spring activities for kids can stop by local Lakeshore Learning Stores during the month of April 2013 to let boys and girls participate in free children's crafts. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each Saturday, children will be provided with the free supplies needed to complete a cute craft activity that is often themed to the current season and any holidays occurring during the month.

On Saturday, April 6, kids can visit Lakeshore Learning Stores to use rainbow paper, rubbing plates, and collage materials to draw a picture of their favorite animal and create a frame to put around their masterpiece.

On Saturday, April 13, children can learn how to use magnets and collage materials such as pom poms and colored tissue paper to transform wooden clothespins into cute magnetic creepy-crawly critters.

On Saturday, April 20, boys and girls can prepare to celebrate Earth Day by using supplies such as cardboard tubes and yarn to make and decorate a fun pair of pretend binoculars for observing nature.

On Saturday, April 27, children can use face silhouettes, wooden craft sticks, and collage materials to make puppets for fun imaginative play.
