For the 18th consecutive year, Colorado Caribou Coffee stores will support breast cancer awareness throughout October with its Amy’s Blend program—a tribute to the company’s original roastmaster, Amy Erickson, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1995.
Through the Amy’s Blend program, Caribou Coffee donates ten percent of all retail coffeehouse proceeds from the collection to CancerCare, an organization that supports men and women impacted by breast cancer.
The 2013 Amy’s Blend collection features exclusive hot and cold drinkware, unique coffee and tea blends, as well as fun accessories like an infinity scarf, lip gloss, hair ties and a pen. In addition, any guests who purchase the new, limited-edition Caribou Coffee Amy's Blend hot tumbler will provide receive unlimited coffee refills at any Caribou location for the entire month of October.
And to top it off, for every social media message shared using #CaribouKnits on Facebook or Twitter from September 28 through October 31, Caribou team member volunteers will knit one inch of a scarf. The company will transform the lobby of its headquarters into a knitting room and Caribou team member volunteers will help to knit scarves on site each day throughout the month. Every Facebook post or tweet will bring Caribou one inch closer to its goal of spreading love and coziness this season. All scarves will be donated to CancerCare to provide warmth to those impacted by breast cancer in the Caribou communities.
