Famous chefs Scott Romano, Scott Jones, Illya Roberts and Jason Boso are among the executive chefs who will be cooking at VISIONS: The Women’s Expo. Enjoy two-full days with executive chefs who are experts in Southwestern, Italian, American and French cuisine, southern food, healthy eating plus delicious distinctive food from New Orleans.

Scott Romano, Charlie Palmer at The Joule, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Executive Chef Scott Romano spent the last decade working bi-coastally under famed master chefs/restaurateurs Charlie Palmer and Wolfgang Puck.

Scott Jones, Cowtown Diner and Macho Nacho, is an acclaimed Metroplex restaurateur known for concepts such as Screen Door Café, which he opened in One Arts Plaza near the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Cowtown Diner in Fort Worth and the new Macho Nacho in Dallas are popular well-known restaurants.

Jason Boso, Twisted Root and Cowboy Chow are a hit in the culinary world after he pursued his real passion, cooking and enrolled in Culinary School. There he met future business partner Quincy Hart, a passionate home chef. The partnership was a great success.

Janice Provost entered the restaurant world because of her passion for cooking. While enrolled in the culinary program at El Centro College, she was invited into the kitchen at Parigi and is now full-time creating wonderful dishes. She loves pleasing her guests.

Jeanette Prasifka, Crosby Catering & Coffee Prasifka, owner and executive chef for Crosby, is a pioneer and leading advocate for healthy cooking in Dallas, Texas. Chef Jeanette is known for preparing delicious high-quality, plant-based dishes.

Food University Presents
“Romance, Italian Style.” Damiano DeNicolo, executive chef of the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel, and Karl Benko, an executive chef consultant responsible for the launch of New York’s Del Frisco’s Steakhouse will teach the basics of cooking delicious meals in minutes. Both are instructors with “Food U.”

Illya Roberts, Chef and Author of Twelve Months of New Orleans Cooking, A New Orleans native with a family heritage in the dining industry, Illya has “Big Easy Cuisine” in her DNA. Her book demonstrates how to create Creole favorites with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
