This exhibit carries a heavy burden as it looks into the future. This reviewer will come by Friday to discover what lies ahead. The Arlington Artist Alliance painters are diligent in keeping pace with monthly demand for more new work.

This is a juried show from which a panel selected artists with “great promise.” The panel features some artists to tantalize the audience before the show opens. (See the photo montage.)

If the future looks as pristine as Jan Moffatt’s landscapes, then that is bright. http://www.loftgallery.org/gallery8.shtml

LK Jeffers is surely capable of transporting us into her dreams and moody images.

Jessica Mickey shows a glimpse of the Capitol, but her romantic images are most exciting. http://www.arlingtonartistsalliance.org/artists/jessicamickey.html

“Exhibit: "Visions of the Future," a group exhibit of works by future Arlington Artists Alliance Gallery members

Dates: February 3 - 28, 2014
Opening Reception: Friday, February 7, 2014, 5-8pm

This month, Gallery Underground features the works of artists who have been juried into Gallery Underground as future members. These artists show great promise and talent; chosen for membership by a panel of established artists and currently awaiting a place as permanent members, those exhibiting in "Visions of the Future" showcase a diverse range of creativity and skills.

For example, Jan E. Moffatt takes viewers on a journey into her acrylic landscapes; LK Jeffers transports viewers into dreams through pastel; while Jessica Mickey shows us a different view of DC at night with a playful use of light and composition in her oil paintings

Gallery Underground also features a new exhibit by gallery members in the Main Gallery, featuring an array of media, including sculpture, glass, ceramics, watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media and jewelry.
