Viruses lingering: Tips on staying protected

The weather has been unpredictable. And with that unpredictability comes a lot more people becoming infected with the flu. And as everyone knows, this flu season has been one of the worst. You may look at your calendar and see spring steadily approaching, with this comes a moment of relief. There is a turning point coming but do not jump ahead, this is the time most people leave themselves open to becoming sick.

Dress for the weather, bundle up. This is Chicago, just because the forecast was sunny before you went to bed, doesn't mean it will be when you wake up, check, double check, and triple check. Spend time planning out meals for you and your family to insure that everyone’s body is ready and prepared to fight off those nasty germs. There are many healthy recipes, that use fresh ingredients and are still quick and easy to prepare.

Act fast, if you see signs of illness in your family, or feel them in yourself, do something right away. Do not wait until matters worsen to take action.
