Virtual Sports Zone owner Donald Prezeau has decided to double down on saying thanks to the players who’ve supported his indoor high definition golf enterprise in Rockland.

Prezeau just sent out word that he will again foot the green fee bill for the first 20 players who sign on for a round of golf on Sept. 7 at Nation Golf Club.

This will be the second outing Prezeau has organized. The first was a wildly successful and fun-filled event in June.

“It’s my pleasure to host these get-togethers and a chance to find out from the players if they feel that playing the latest generation High Definition Golf simulators at VSZ helps their games,” said Prezeau. “Many have said their games improved when they headed outdoors this past spring.”

The first players in VSZ’s thank you event will tee off at 11 a.m. If golfers wish to rent a power cart, the cost has been set at $18 plus tax. To reserve a spot, e-mail dprezeau@virtualsportszone.ca.

Virtual Sports Zone features eight simulators at the 733 rue Industrielle (Industrial Street) Units 3 and 4 location.

Some of the world-famous tracks players can play include Banff Springs, PGA National, Bay Hill, Pinehurst No. 2, Bethpage Black, Rich Harvest Farms, Doral, Spanish Bay, Casa de Campo and Pebble Beach.

Meanwhile, when the golfers take on Nation Golf Club they’ll tackle a par 71/72 track that provides four sets of tee markers so players of all levels feel comfortable.

The course measures 6,005 yards from the blues, 5,735 yards from the whites, 5,045 yards from the greens and 4,750 yards from the reds. Thanks to its steep elevations and well-groomed bent grass greens, Nation Golf Course has been rated one of the most exciting public golf courses in Eastern Ontario.

Coming up at Nation is the Left vs. Right Golf Challenge on Sept. 28.

The competition begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The cost is $85 for the 18 holes, power cart rental and steak dinner.

The course also hosts Wings Night every Thursday. Players receive all-you-can-eat wings, nine holes of golf and ride a power cart for $45.

And since this is Nation’s 20th anniversary, there are $39 green fees that are valid seven days a week throughout the season.

Nation Golf Club is located at 731 County Rd. 19 in Curran, ON.
