A Virginia witness stopped along Meadow Road near I-295 in Sandston reports watching a "pulsating white light over I-295" that was "bright enough to light up the surrounding clouds," according to September 23, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
"I sat there long enough to note that it was pulsating at the same rate," the witness stated. "It was a white sphere. The whole thing would light up at even intervals. I mean this thing was bright white - pure white."
The witness panicked and left the scene to drive home - but returned with his mother for a second look.
While they were leaving their home, they heard the sound of jet engines firing up at nearby Richmond International Airport.
"The military base over there - they have F-22s. I have never heard the jets take off so late at night before. As we made our way to the bridge you could hear the jets still firing up, one after another. There was at least three to four that took off. Upon reaching the overpass the light was gone."
The witness did some Google research on "VA UFO", read a UFO Examiner story, and discovered "this person had the same sightings. The same kind of sighting, same thing happening, in two different time frames? I saw this early September 2011 and this person saw it in April 2011."

Sandston is a census-designated place in Henrico County, VA, population 7,571, and is adjacent to Richmond International Airport. No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on September 23, 2011. The events occurred on September 2, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
Virginia is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. Virginia had 12 reports in August 2011 - the 27th highest reporting state - while California had 127 UFO reports - the highest reporting state in the nation. Virginia remains on our "Watch List."

VA, September 2, 2011 - Flashing Light over I-295. MUFON Case # 32017.
I was on my way home from dropping my girlfriend off near Williamsburg rd in Sandston, Va. As I was turning off Williamsburg Rd onto Drybrdige Rd I noticed a blinking light far away. I continued down this road towards Meadow Rd, I could still see the light blinking above the treetops. I took a right and headed down meadow to the bridge the goes over I-295.
As I reached the overpass I stopped the truck on the side of it( stupid, I know ) and there was a pulsating white light over 295, it was bright enough to light up the surrounding clouds. At this time I was panicking and rode home to tell my mother, she wanted to go see it. About the time she was getting in my truck we heard the ROARING of jet engines at Richmond International Airport (the military base over there, they have f-22's etc etc ) I have never heard the jets take off so late at night before. As we made our way to the bridge you could hear the jets still firing up, one after another, there was atleast 3 to 4 that took off. Upon reaching the overpass the light was gone. My mother looked at me like I was crazy, but she DID hear the jets taking off.
And I am posting this because I searched VA UFO on Google recently and found an article where this person had the same sightings, and this is where I found this form to fill out. Ironically, The same kind of sighting, same thing happening, in two different time frames? I saw this early September 2011 and this person saw it in April 2011.
