CEO and Chairman of Divaris Real Estate Inc., Gerald S. Divaris, announced a lease signing with Free People for a retail space of 3,200 square foot located at the Town Center of Virginia Beach.

“This is the second exciting fashion retailer to confirm its opening in this next phase at the Town Center of Virginia Beach this fall. Like recently announced Anthropologie, Free People will be the first and only location of its kind to open in all of Hampton Roads, Virginia,” said Divaris in an article on the Town Center website. “Free People will be located on Main Street, in the first floor retail of the Armada Hoffler office tower, in a part of the space previously occupied by Red Star Tavern.”

Free People is anticipated to have its grand opening in the fall. Additional (new) tenants will be revealed within the next few months, most of which will be soft furnishing and fashion retailers that will open for the first time in the district. It’s Sugar and Destination Maternity recently opened as new retailers coming to Town Center.

“The Town Center of Virginia Beach is garnering tremendous interest from other unique and desirable retailers with further announcements of their openings to come soon,” said Divaris.

Virginia Beach Town Center is not only a highly successful area of Virginia Beach, but it is also considered the ultimate core of the City’s Central Business District. Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc. plans to further develop Town Center. The 17 block upscale retail market is covered with luxury residential buildings, Class A offices, The Sandler Center for the Preforming Arts and several restaurants, cafes and deluxe business hotels.

Other retailers in Town Center include Brooks Brothers, LOFT, Origins, Cache’, Johnston & Murphy, Sunglass Hut, Men’s Wearhouse, Destination Maternity and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
