As of Tuesday, Virgin Mobile has started offering the brand new Apple iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s on their website. For iPhone fans who are looking to own the new device without a two year contract, this might be the deal of a lifetime.
The fact that Virgin Mobile is offering these two new iPhones so soon after they were released from Apple is reason enough to be excited. Last years' iPhone 5 did not make it to their site for well over eight months.
According to Virgin Mobile's website, the 16GB iPhone 5c is selling for $449.99 without a contract and the 5s version is selling for $549.99 without a contract. This is an exceptional price considering that Apple is selling these same phones each for $100 more.
While the off contract prices are part of the allure of jumping on board the pre-paid mobile train, it is the monthly plans that make owning the new Apple iPhone on Virgin Mobile even nicer.
For the new iPhones, Virgin Mobile is offering unlimited 3G and 4G data and unlimited messaging on all of their plans. For the basic Beyond Talk plan, they are offering 300 minutes of talk time for $35 a month. For $45 a month, you can up your talk time to 1200 minutes. Lastly, there is the $55 plan which offers unlimited talk.
Virgin Mobile operates on the Sprint network and that can be a problem for some. Users should check to see if there is adequate cell and data coverage in their area.
To save an additional $5 on your monthly payment, you can set up your account with auto-renew by adding a debit or credit card. This also has the advantage of you not having to remember to make your payment each month. All of the details about their plans and coverage can be found at their website.
