Virgin America, California’s quirky, little airline than can and does, today (Jan. 24, 2013) announced a partnership with MOGL, the leading customer loyalty platform for restaurants. This is the carrier’s first dining rewards partner for the Elevate® frequent flyer program that will afford MOGL and Virgin America Elevate members the ability to automatically accumulate Elevate reward points when they dine out at MOGL’s thousands of restaurants across California.
If you’re an Elevate member you can sign up now at virgin.mogl.com. Enter your Elevate account number and get 10 percent cash back on every bill from a partner restaurant that will automatically be exchanged for Elevate points each month, at a rate of 30 points per $1 cash-back. As a bonus offer, any Elevate member who uses MOGL for a restaurant transaction through February 28, 2013 will earn double points (60 Elevate points per $1 cash-back).
“As two California-based companies known for innovation, we’re very pleased to partner with MOGL, our first dining rewards partner, to offer Elevate members a new earning option that fits their busy, connected lifestyles,” said Phil Seward, Director of Loyalty at Virgin America. "Whether they are dining for business or for pleasure, we think our most frequent guests will appreciate this opportunity to convert dining experiences into Virgin America rewards. Also, as giving back to the community is a part of the Virgin brand’s DNA. We really appreciated the donation platform that MOGL has created with the Meal for a Meal program and it helped to differentiate them from other businesses in the category."
If you’re not an Elevate member, you really should join. The program is Virgin America’s first–of–its–kind loyalty program, that offers hassle-free points redemptions with no blackouts or blocked seats. What’s more, unlike other carriers, all you need is as little at 2,500 points to redeem a ride. Last summer, Virgin America announced a suite of enhancements to its Elevate program – including new Elevate Gold and Elevate Silver status levels with a host of traveler perks and enhanced social rewards for virtual check-ins. The Elevate frequent flyer program continues to grow with more than 2.6 million members and expand its partnerships - including its most recent additions of Uber and now MOGL. Elevate program details can be viewed on the airline’s website at: www.virginamerica.com/elevate.
And if you haven't flown Virgin America you don't know what you're missing. For those of you can remember think the old PSA (witty, fun, irreverant but efficient). You'll find WiFi, friendly flight attendants, tasty meals that you buy unless seated in Main Cabin Select or First Class, comfortable seats and generally smooth flying.
For current MOGL members, this partnership opens up a new option for getting ‘hooked up’ when dining out as they will still continue to earn 10 percent cash back in their MOGL account, but now have the option to exchange their cash for Virgin America Elevate points. Members simply go to MOGL’s website and add their Elevate account number in their settings, under payment preferences. MOGL members who are not current Elevate members are encouraged to join at www.virginamerica.com/elevate. Al new and current MOGL members will continue to participate and support MOGL’s Meal for a Meal program, which donates a meal to Feeding America whenever $20 is spent at a MOGL restaurant (www.mogl.com/feeding-america). Additionally, MOGL’s monthly jackpot cash prizes will continue to be awarded to the top three spenders at each restaurant, with the new option to convert those dollars into Elevate points ($1 = 30 points).
