Catherine Engelbrecht delivered a powerful and emotional testimony at a Congressional hearing this past week regarding the tyranny she has personally had to deal with due to her exercising her First Amendment rights.
There's not much to say about this except for the fact that this woman's life became a nightmare simply for the fact that she wanted to speak out against what she saw as injustices against the American people, and the result of that proved her point perfectly.
It's stories like this that send chills down the collective spines of Americans as we repeatedly see the people within our government abuse their power for political gain and nothing is done about it. In fact, those who could do something about it spend more time trying to say this type of thing isn't happening than they do trying to figure out if it actually did.
Regardless, this isn't the government our founders envisioned, and for it to have this amount of power to turn someone's life into a living nightmare should be a grave warning to everyone that it's time to start reducing its size and scope before there's nothing we can do about it.
What would you do if you were in her position? Let me know with a comment, I love to read them!
