Viral video: 'Head Like a Hole' mashed up with 'Call Me Maybe'

On Monday, new audio surfaced on the Internet featuring an innovative mash-up remix of Nine Inch Nail's "Head Like a Hole" combined with Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". The new song, called "Call Me a Hole," was posted on The Verge and generated over 100,000 Facebook likes in less than 24 hours.

A YouTube version is also posted online.

YouTube user A.T.O. commented "this is damn AMAZING!" while SpyWhoShgz wrote "it grows on you and then ... it eats your soul".

The tune is indeed catchy, blending rock vocals with Jepsen's popular dance tune. The 27-year-old Canadian singer was seen at last month's 55th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles where she presented an award together with R&B singer Ne-Yo.

Jepsen released her "Kiss" album in September 2012. "Call Me Maybe" has sold over 12.5 million units worldwide. The music video, which was uploaded on March 1, 2012, has received nearly 420 million views on YouTube.

This past weekend, Nine Inch Nails announced that they will be one of the performers at the Rock Fuji Festival in Japan between July 26 and 28. The band will be joined by Bjork, DJ Shadow, Tame Impala, Of Monsters and Men, Rocket from the Crypt and The xx. This year's festival will take place at the Naeba Prince Hotel and Ski Resort near Sanroku.
