VIP Dance twirls up the toes in 2013 competition

The VIP Dance competition is here again March 16-17, 2013 at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin, Illinois. Dancer’s feet begin tapping at 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. central time. VIP Dance competition will be judged by three judges with video commentary. Each dance teacher gets the opportunity to bite their nails as the judges sort out the points in four categories performances to be scored electronically 1 to 35, dance technique 1 to 35, choreography 1 to 20 and overall presentation and appearance scoring 1 to 10.

Every year the competition is stiff. The strength of a dancer is no longer assumed by city of training or one particular teacher. When you look into the faces of the dancers you see their drive, determination and mastery of the basics. Love and technique is essential to beautiful improv. This is a great opportunity for budding dance stars to catch a glimpse of their future competition.
