The 43rd NAACP Image Awards, held at The Shrine Auditorium Friday night, handed out awards to favorite actresses from The Help. Viola Davis won for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture. Octavia Spencer won the Best Supporting Actress actress. The two divas managed to take home awards and dominated the red carpet with some great fashion.
On the red carpet the fashion statements by both women grabbed attention. Octavia wore a brilliant blue gown, while Viola chose a cleavage-revealing orange gown. Both women were stunning on the red carpet and appeared strong and confident.
During her acceptance speech Viola said, "I emerged and found my voice through The Help" Viola Davis added,."Man gives awards. God gives reward." Later in the evening, Octavia posted her thanks to the world, "Many thanks to NAACP for honoring The Help wtih Best Picture, Best Actress and Supporting Actress wins. Congrats to all nominees."
