eBay is definitely its own unique community. In the past, we have seen all sorts of weird items sell for high prices including a grilled cheese sandwich with the face of Jesus. Feminine care items including vintage maxi pads and tampons are the latest item to hit the "vintage collectible" list.
In the past month, several listings for vintage maxi pads have sold for over $100 per listing. Here is a listing for 1 box of Moddess Feminine Napkins from the 1960s that sold for $134.50. Check out this listing of a 30 count box of Stayfree Feminine Napkins that sold for $122.50. Another listing for KMart Brand maxi pads sold for $96. Sellers speculate that these products are being purchased as movie props. Tampons don't seem to sell for as much. There are a few listings for vintage Tampax with selling prices of less than $20.
This proves that just about anything can sell on eBay! So don't be shy if you are at a garage sale, estate sale, or auction and see vintage feminine products for sale. You could make some big money on eBay selling those items to collectors all over the world.
