You guys, I have had a crush on Vincent Kartheiser ever since he played Angel's rapidly-aged angsty teenage son on Angel, and he's only improved as Pete on Mad Men. But his world view, while earth-first, is kind of frighteningly extreme so as to slightly turn me off. Only slightly, though.
Kartheiser doesn't want children. Not because they're annoying, but because kids are just going to be more humans who destroy the planet. He appeared on MSNBC Wednesday to discuss his rather unusual lifestyle choices, which include not owning a toilet (!!!), not driving a vehicle (okay, I understand that one) and lives as a vegetarian (again, still in the sane category).
He clarified earlier in the year that his decision to not have a toilet is more based on its place on his to-do list in his new house. Which. What. That's a pretty important addition to a home. I check for a toilet before I even see if there's a dishwasher. I don't think he's going to have to worry about the kids thing because I don't know what kind of a woman would ever sleep over in a house without a toilet, let alone procreate with a man who doesn't prioritize that.
