Chicago native and self-professed Cubs fan, Vince Vaughn, lent his pipes to the 7th inning stretch on Saturday afternoon as the Chicago Cubs took on the Arizona Diamondbacks.
After a rousing edition of the baseball classic, Vaughn threw his Cubs hat into the stands below the announcer's booth, making the day of one random fan. He briefly discussed his latest film, tentatively titled Cheaters. The film is being directed by Ron Howard and Vaughn said that Queen Latifah and Jennifer Connelly are potentially attached to the flick as well.
Vaughn continued his joking ways, saying that he hoped Diamondbacks reliever, and former Cubs pitcher, Bob Howry had a fun night out on the town the previous evening, which would mean he wouldn't be throwing his best stuff. Cubs announcer Bob Brenly also dished out his signature advice to anyone who is married, which Vaughn now is. He told Vaughn to always remember to say, "Yes dear, You're right, I'm sorry."
Trailing the opposing team before his appearance, the Cubs tied the game while Vaughn was chatting with Brenly and Len Kasper. The Cubs went on to win 7-5, making Vaughn one happy baseball fan today.
