WWE CEO Vince McMahon is reportedly furious with TNA's signing of former WWE superstar Joanie "Chyna" Laurer. On Wednesday, Examiner's Michael Essany reported that Vince McMahon was considering inducting Chyna into the WWE HOF in 2012. On Thursday, Fight Sports Examiner was informed by a WWE source that there was definitely some rumblings within the WWE office over Chyna's arrival in TNA.
On Tuesday night, TNA taped an episode of Impact which will air on Thursday May 12th. During the tapings, Mick Foley returned and revealed that the mystery partner for Kurt Angle is Joanie "Chyna" Laurer. Although, Foley couldn't call her by the name "Chyna", due to WWE owning the name, the crowd knew who she was and erupted with cheers for her.
Laurer was last seen in 2001 as she departed the WWWE. Since then, she has made appearances at autograph shows and indy wrestling events. Unfortunately, Laurer has also had her share of high profiled domestic issues since then. The former Playboy cover model, has also been involved in other high profile relationships with pro-wrestlers.
Originally, it was her relationship with HHH that sparked her entrance into the WWE. Many wrestling pundits speculated that HHH began his relationship with Stephanie McMahon while still involved with Chyna. However,WWE Examiner Michael Essany reports that HHH was signing off on the idea of Chyna being inducted into the WWE HOF. However, if Chyna is still with TNA throughout the year, WWE will not induct her in 2012 as they make it a policy not to induct their opposition's talent.
