Vikings to say hello to Mike Wallace, goodbye Percy Harvin

A number of problems have already been examined between Percy Harvin and the Minnesota Vikings, but a new report sheds further light into the situation.

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, Harvin threatened to walk out on the Vikings prior to last season after the New England Patriots gave an extension to tight end Aaron Hernandez, his college teammate at the University of Florida.

Only two years out of college, it didn’t make sense to Harvin that he wasn’t the one with a new incentive.

Harvin has been nothing but problems for the Vikings in the last year and while his talent is no question, his motives are.

According to multiple reports, the Vikings are prepared to meet the demands of free agent Mike Wallace and could be preparing themselves to part ways with Percy Harvin.

Harvin is set to be a free agent after the 2013 season, it seems there is no way the Vikings stand a chance at re-signing him. Many believe if he is not given an extension this offseason he will hold out similar to Vincent Jackson.

The Vikings and his agent have yet to speak but reports are he is searching for Calvin Johnson money, eight years, $132 million.

According to Yahoo Sports, ”Harvin considers himself a special player and executives around the league have fed that attitude by telling people close to him how difficult it is to cover Harvin.”

After signing Wallace expect the Vikings to start looking for teams who lost out on the Wallace signing, like the Buffalo Bills to find a potential trade partner.
