It appears that WWE viewers are turned off and tuned out when it comes to Chris Jericho's current storyline. On the January 23rd episode of RAW, WWE had a "Highlight Reel" segment with Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, it continued a ratings drop from the opening segment of RAW and saw nearly 300,000 viewers tune out for the segment according to a Thursday January 26th report by The Wrestling Observer.
Despite the viewers being unhappy with Jericho's silent act, the WWE appears to be happy with it as they kept it going for 4 episodes of RAW. Jericho's only words since his January 2nd return was about the Royal Rumble, which he is heavily rumored to win.
There's a strong rumor going around that Jericho could enter the Rumble as the #30 competitor and win the match even without touching another wrestler. However, this would be a mistake by the WWE if they decide to go through with this Rumble. Jericho doesn't need to win in this cheap of a manner. Additionally, it cheapens the legacy of this great event.
