The Vietnam war film that Hollywood never wanted you to see!
' Your support of these selfless warriors reflects the best of the American Spirit and I am grateful for your compassionate work.
I appreciate your sons service to our nation and am proud to have been his Commander in Chief. ' George W. Bush . .
' Our nation is fortunate to have patriots like Jack Marino and John Lebert who had the courage to create Forgotten Heroes as a thank you for all of the Vietnam heroes who paid the ultimate price with their lives; and for the Veterans who came back. Welcome home Brothers; we welcome you home.'
Brigadier General (CA, Retired) Ronald Flynn, 7th Cavalry, Vietnam 1966
Brought to you by: Jack Marino - Starring William Smith as General Gregori Zelenkov
Apocalypse Now has the big movie stars. Platoon has the budget. Full Metal Jacket has Kubrick; but Forgotten Heroes has the truth. When history does what history always does best and shakes itself loose of the blistering lies told of and about America's involvement in Vietnam, it will be Jack Marino's Forgotten Heroes that's first acquitted. - Review by: John Nolte

If you watched the history of Vietnam through the eyes of mainstream Hollywood you'd never know our goal was to help a society retain its self-determination and that one brother was trying to butcher the another. They didn't want you to know the consequences of our leaving, breaking promises to our allies or caving to the anti-war left would end as a holocaust for millions and that our soldiers were honorable and self-sacrificing heroes. The 'congressional bastards' didn't want you to know so the lobbyists and power brokers shut off funding for Vietnam.
Forgotten Heroes is an honest portrayal of good and decent people who left their homes and risked their lives for something bigger than themselves. Jack Marino's film reminds us how that once meant something. Marino's film also reminds us that when those men are forgotten by a government unwilling to finish what it started, the price they pay doesn't end with the war. It goes far beyond for generations to come.
There was a time when Hollywood believed in spreading liberty and stopping tyranny. However, that belief died sometime in the late 1960's. From it sprang an ideology of anti-Americanism that appears to live today in the form of others who find tyrants Castro and Chavez more tolerable than its own U.S. citizens. Why must the heroes of Vietnam be slandered in film after film to support agendas of the left?
Can't we draw a line of decency somewhere?
Marino has drawn a line. He put his money, talent and reputation on the line to tell the truth about these heroes.
In an interview with Hank Richards from the Examiner, Marino who has a son serving a tour of duty in Iraq said, 'for over 22 years I've shown this film to anyone willing to listen; anyone who believes there are still stories left untold about Vietnam; stories of heroism and sacrifice. In simple words: The Truth.'
The Forgotten Heroes of Vietnam have a friend in Jack Marino. So do maverick filmmakers everywhere with a dream; with a love of country; with a love of freedom; with a love of truth.

Marino is part of the untold story. Keep playing the record Jack. It never gets old for some of us.
Great article and AWESOME MOVIE!!! A great way to honor and thank our vets is to purchase this movie. The Producers are donating 25% of gross proceeds from FORGOTTEN HEROES to the AMERICANS DISABLED FOR LIFE MEMORIAL FUND.
"It took a lot of guts and courage to make this film. I wish my dad and uncles were alive to see it. They all served in NAM and came back very broken men. Our country just threw salt into their open wounds, but they never complained, only drank themselves to death. Thank you!!!"

Movie was great. I bought it support an independent filmmaker and found myself engrossed. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quality flick that actually tells the truth about the vets.
Great job Jack, this film is a great tribute to the vets that gave so much of themselves.
During my teenage years, my Daddy served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam (he passed away in '92), and several kids who graduated from my high school were drafted to go to Vietnam. My husband was drafted and sent straight to Vietnam. None of them received heroes' welcomes when they (thankfully) came back home except from those of us who loved them. This is an excellent review about a film made to show the truth about Vietnam and the seemingly forgotten heroes who served there. Thank you so much.

Looks like a great film. A a young girl, I think I was 12, our family went to Miramar to welcome back a family friend who had been a POW during this war. I grew up with kids whose dads were in the Navy. We were all happy this dad came home, and I was always taught to respect those who defend out country.
I've had the pleasure to work with Jack for a time at a
post-production facility. I bought this movie to support the Americans Disabled for life memorial fund as well as Mr. Marino.
He is a good man with good intentions and it shows with the things he has and will continue to do.
-Thank you Jack Marino-
"Finally, a Vietnam era film that portrays the American soldier, not as "baby killers", but as the brave, unselfish, heroes that they truly are. Jack Marino refused to bow to Hollywood pressure and adhere to the "Vietnam Template" when making his film, "Forgotten Heroes". Thank God he had the courage to do so. It's very refreshing to find someone from Hollywood with a belief system and set of principles that reflect those of the vast majority of Americans who love their country and the men who defend it."

Jack Marino said "thank you" to the Vietnam Vet,It's time for the goverment to apologize to them. Greak Job Mr.Marino.
Jack's a friend and fellow warrior in this muck and mire known as LA-LA Land. He's the real deal and so's Forgotten Heroes. My two-tour uncle would have loved it, Jack!
A great movie with a story that NEEDS to be told, again and again to make up for all the other films that couldn't tell this story.
My uncle was one of these forgotten hero's! Thank you Jack Marino for making a film in support of the nameless hero's who've been forgotten. God Bless you!
We must continue to remember those who served this nation and those who still do. We need more movies like this so we do not forget the truth of what these men faced.
This is a great movie made by a courageous man about our troops who deserve our thanks and appreciation. I'm reminded of the parade in DC after the first Gulf War and seeing many Nam vets marching with Stormin Norman. It was truly a sight to behold. This movie is a sight to behold. Thank you Jack for all you do!
Jacks been a guest of ours on The Andrea Shea King Show, when we spent an enjoyable evening hearing him tell of movie making and fascinating anecdotes about his favorite actor, the late Errol Flynn.

I am a WW II Army veteran of five campaigns in France, Belgium and Germany. I saw The Forgotten Heroes and can tell you that I am so happy that a filmmaker has made a movie about those guys who I always have had and of course still do have a tremendous amount of respect for. Thank you Jack Marino.
This is a resourceful and moving film. I can't tell you how much I admire the effort and the result. Mr. Marino you're a brave man.
I still watch Apocalypse Now once a year and eat sweet shrimp and other assorted sushi.
FORGOTTEN HEROES... I have MREs and a beer!"
Jack's film is a treat! So nice to watch a film again that shows the American pride of our Military.
We need more films like this!! So supporting Jack's efforts will let those who prefer to bash our troops and lecture us there in Hollywood know that we are more interested in positive and entertaining movies.
Thank you, Jack!
Congrats to you, Jack, for your American "sticktuitiveness" in staying the course, realizing your dream, and bringing Forgotten Heroes to the attention of a much broader audience. In his day (your hero and mine), Frank Capra used the studio system to share both his art and vision, because Hollywood, then, was the center of that universe. But in today's world, there is the internet- where the center is everywhere and the circumference nowhere, and anything is possible- and where a WONDERFUL indie film too can have its OWN day. Nice and generous touch, too, in contributing back to the real life subjects of the film- those who gave of themselves, in many cases, in most unimaginable ways. Good luck in your ongoing quest in bringing this movie to that much broader audience!
Thanks for a great movie. We must never forget the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom.
I look forward to seeing the entire film. So refreshing to see a story of soldiers that's not told from Hollywood's agenda driven bias.
It's hard to make a movie. It's really hard to make a good movie. FORGOTTEN HEROES is a great movie. It reminded me of a Warner Bros. war picture from the 40s.
GREAT MOVIE...TAKES ME BACK TO 1968 LAI-KHE AREA. VIVID MEMORIES."
Jack, thank you for your courage in bucking Hollywood and producing such a powerful and moving film, "Forgotten Heroes". As a veteran of that time period I truly appreciate what you have done for the Veterans (our Brothers) of the Vietnam War. It is truly a remarkable film and a tribute to all of America's veterans. God Bless you Jack, God Bless all our Veterans and may God continue to Bless the United States of America.
Support conservative filmmakers and support Jack Marino! Keep 'em comin' Jack and make another one!
Jack,1st and foremost I want to thank your son for his service to this great Country. I've lost two great Patriots Veterans of Vietnam. Thomas Jakala and just recently Donovan Boettcher. I will speak for myself and on the behalf of Tom and Donovan, Happy to see a conservative film maker in Hollywood, Someone that can write the truth and put it to film. We applaud you and appreciate your Honor to all Soldiers, active duty or retired. Jack you are a great American. We hope you can bring your Honor and Values to other film makers.
I bought this movie for my brother who served in Vietnam. He was moved beyond words to finally watch a movie about his Brothers-in-Arms that depicted them in a positive light, as the true patriots and men of integrity he knew them to be. Thanks Jack for all your hard work in trying to get this movie out to the public and not letting the Hollywood elitist shut you out, like they have been trying to do.
I had the honor of having Mr. Marino on my Blog talk radio show. It was a great time! This man is doing great things with this film and should be thanked for his patriotism and love for our military! Kudos to you Jack for standing up against the Liberal Hollywood machine!
Mr.Marino is the pillar of Conservatism when it comes to fighting these Liberal moonbats in Hollywood!! He has made an outstanding film that supports our soldiers and he has stuck with it all these years to promote a message of truth in true Conservative fashion. God bless Mr.Marino for what he has done and continues to do for our brave men and women defending us!
Jack is the righter of wrongs and the only true voice of our fighting man. Jack you are my hero! Thank you so much for all you have done.
Cheers
In America, we need heroes and concrete examples of them. Jack Marino has brought them to the screen showing America and soldiers in a good light in his film " Forgotten Heroes". His film has excellent production value, an engaging story, and he gives a wonderful performance. Jack loves his country and this film shows the sacrifice of the American soldier. When you watch John Ford, and Howard Hawks, and Frank Capra films, you know they loved their country and so does Jack Marino. His personal story is one of American tenacity, persistence, and determination. God Bless America.
In case anybody thinks Jack has no "Liberal" friends, I am proud to be one of them. Jack Marino is himself a true Hollywood original, and might have been very much at home in the Gold Age of Hollywood, alongside the great director's of that day. Jack's movie Forgotten Heroes is a classic of its kind and should have had a much broader audience when it was first produced and yet, I think, due to the internet, social sites and internet radio shows like Jack's this great film is finally causing the buzz it deserves! Bravo, Jack!
Good job Jack!
This film is a must see for all who appreciate the effort
and sacrifice of our Vets...and especially the Viet Vets.
Yesterday I had the privilege to be with thousands of these
fine(brothers)Men.It was at the annual send off for the
"RUN FOR THE WALL"-Motorcycle trip to Washington D.C. to the Memorial Wall. The Medal of Honor and Valor recipients I met are wonderful gracious men.And all the guys that served really appreciate the thanks and admiration they receive from the public-and of course it is ABOUT TIME ! I told several dozen about this great film-some had seen it and were impressed and others wanted to see it.If you want to thank these men do so personally when ever you met one.But you can also show your appreciation by viewing this film and having a greater knowledge and respect for what they and all our Military go through. Then share your viewing experience !

Thank you
I served for more than one tour in Vietnam as an Air Force pilot, logging more than 1800 combat hours. From 1968 to date, that service has barred me from all employment in the United States, except for one year with the U.S. Forest Service after that agency was forced to hire me because two of its employees offered me $20,000 to withdraw from a civil service selection under threat that the selection would be cancelled if I refused the money. I have worked as a civilian pilot in Cambodia before 1975 and as a research scientist in Germany and Brazil, but as a veteran, I could expect no regular, steady employment in the USA. We need a movie showing the struggle Vietnam vets have to survive in the United States. Without regular income and with steady government chicanery to keep them from surviving, Vietnam veterans have faced a holocaust in the country they defended. This story needs to be told honestly. How about a movie about this holocaust? I could write the screen play.
GREAT FILM...MOVING...TOUCHING...TRUTHFULL...HONORING THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR FREEDOMS. HOLLYWOOD NEADS TO TAKE SOME LESSONS...WE NEED MORE JACK MARINO'S....THANKYOU AND GOD BLESS JACK!
Great movie! Very entertaining in the style of old Hollywood. Veteran actor William Smith, a terrific actor, is wonderful in this role. This movie is a fitting tribute to our Vietnam Vets who really were forgotten and treated despicably, especially by Hollywood. If you know a veteran this would make a nice gift and a way to say "Thank you, you are not FORGOTTEN HEROES, God Bless you".
I loved this movie, and I still need to see it on a big screen. I need to buy more DVD copies, I keep giving them away. Thanks for making it, Jack.
Jacks movie is excellent. Intelligence and wisdom reflect onto film. It takes a true patriot to convey into a movie what real men want to see.
