After doing the song ‘Ohh La La’ in the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has now become the hot favorite for the filmmakers for item songs
Vidya Balan's first look from the item song 'Lavani' from the movie ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’ has been revealed on Feb. 20, 2012.
In the first look picture, Vidya Balan is seen in a red hot traditional ‘Lavani’ attire. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajesh Mapuskar decided the look of Vidya after trying nine different looks.
Filmyfair.com wrote, "Balan will be seen grooving to the tunes of ‘Lavani’ form, which is now-a- days become more popular in Bollywood after Katrina Kaif too performed ‘Lavani’ in Chikni Chameli from the movie ‘Agneepath’. But unlike Katrina, Vidya is covered all over with a complete traditional look."
"Before the shoot of the song, Vidya rehearsed for at least 15 to 20 days. Vidya has now the latest actress to enter the list of actresses who do their own item songs in the movie."
Even top Bollywood actresses like Kareena Kapoor are doing item songs in their films. Kareena also is seen doing a mujra song for her upcoming movie 'Agent Vinod'
