Tim Tebow Super Bowl commercial and Planned Parenthood’s response. Over the past few days there has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding a commercial from Tim Tebow and his mom that will air during the 2010 Super Bowl. The commercial has been under wraps and was released today.
The first video below shows a similar commercial from Tim Tebow that will air during the 2010 Super Bowl. The actual commercial is said to be slightly longer.
The pro-life commercial is about Tebow’s mom, Pam’s decision to not have the doctor recommended abortion when she was pregnant with Tim. The commercial itself doesn’t appear to be as bad as everyone has made it out to be. It does have a celebrate life statement at the end.
Several women’s rights groups have attempted to protest the commercial without seeing it. “An ad that uses sports to divide rather than to unite has no place in the biggest national sports event of the year - an event designed to bring Americans together,” said Jehmu Greene, president of the Women’s Media Center.
The National Organization for Women and the Feminist Majority agree with the protest. The Utah chapter of the National Organization for Women is located in Murray, Utah.
Planned Parenthood in an attempt to counter Tim Tebow’s commercial created a commercial which can be seen in the second video below. The commercial shows Sean James and Al Joyner two professional athletes showing their support for the pro-choice side. In the commercial they address Tim Tebow’s commercial.

It was uplifting and in no way 'hatespeech' like the pro choicers mischaracterize it as.
