Videodrome: One of Atlanta's movie rental hot spots

It's Saturday night and you hit a brick wall on what's next on the agenda. No shows are going on, a bar is too expensive and loud, the record shop just closed for the night, and you just had a bad experience at one of your favorite places to eat with your significant other. Just as you're determining whether or not to head back home - you think of renting a movie at one of Atlanta's greatest movie rental places - Videodrome!

Sharing the same name as David Cronenberg's cult classic, Videodrome offers pretty much everything and anything to tickle your movie nerd fancy. Going on ten years being open, Videodrome has captured the hearts of Atlantans offering tedious (and/or pretentious depending on your opinion) sections going beyond the average "Drama" and "Comedy" section. Videodrome gives unique film sections such as "British," "David Lynch," "Cult Classics" and "Art House." There are even sub-sections such as "Alfred Hitchcock" or "Film Noir" under "Classics." An impressive selection of TV shows, anime, foreign films (categorized by country) and much more are waiting to be discovered. If you find yourself lost, no need to fear - a friendly face at the counter is always there to help you.

DVD rentals are $3.50 for two nights. Store hours are from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. seven days a week.

The 'Drome rocks! Great place to lose yourself browsing through a plethora of obscure movies. Hope it continues to thrive in the Netflix era.
