Whoopi Goldberg says that Howard Stern needs to get his facts straight before he says anything else about 'Precious' star Gabourey Sidibe's future in Hollywood.
Howard Stern's comments about Gabourey Sidibe gain suprising support
Goldberg took on Howard Stern during Thursday morning's Hot Topics segment of 'The View'. 'The View' monitors first played a clip of Howard Stern talking about Gabourey Sidibe on Monday morning's Howard Stern Show during which he said:
"She is enormous...She's never going to be in another movie. What movie is she going to be in? 'Blind Side 2'-she could be the football player. She could take out the whole front line."

The View audience gasped audiblly at the comments from Howard Stern, and Whoopi Goldberg then addressed Stern directly by saying:
"I do want to point out a couple of things, cause this irritated me: John Candy, John Belushi, John Goodman, Chris Farley. No one-I don't recall anyone saying they would not have careers. Gabby actually has a TV show and two movies that she's doing, so-you're entitled to your opinion. You think she's big? Okay, but at least get the facts right. She has a lot of work and you know, again, we all have opinions about a lot of different stuff, but if you're gonna do it, know what you're talking about. Check your facts."
Gabourey Sidibe is scheduled to appear next in the film 'Yelling to the Sky' and the television series The Big C.
Howard Stern says 'The View' is 'unwatchable'
Howard Stern tried to contextualize his statements later in the week by saying that he is one of the few media spokesmen not "enabling" Gabourey Sidibe's morbid obesity.

the male examples don't mean much: Hollywood is much more forgiving of male fat. Especially in comedy.
