Kyle Whittingham’s wife, Jamie was hit in the face after the Utah vs. BYU game Saturday night by a BYU fan immediately after the game. Jamie Whittingham was elbowed in the face by a BYU fan, and the fan had to be physically removed by security from the area. The photos in the video below also show the BYU fan grabbed Jamie’s arm as security tried to pull him away.

This occurred just after the Utah vs. BYU game on the BYU campus, at the same time Max Hall made the comments about how he hated the University of Utah and their fans and called them classless. Max Hall apologized early Monday morning for the comments he made. But as the reporter in the ABC 4 video states, it not only shows that Max Hall’s comments were pre-mature they were also inaccurate. The battle between Utah and BYU fans seems to have gotten out of control.

I graduated from the University of Utah and from BYU. I have been told that I bleed Red from one arm and Blue from the other. Whatever split personality I have suffered from over the years is now completely unified in absolute disgust and embarassment at the behavior of fans and players in what should be a spirited, friendly rivary. Both programs have benefitted from the succes of the other and have shared history, coaches and DNA. Perhaps "my money and my children will attend Utah State."
