Bono comes out every year the night before Christmas to sing for the fans and the random people on the streets of Dublin, Ireland. Again this year the star was on sidewalk singing for the people mingling the night before the big holiday. Like in years past, the tips given to the star on Tuesday night will be offered to the Simon Communities, an organization that works with the homeless population in Ireland.
While fans crowded around the star, there was a real sense of joy seen for the occasion. The star sang two songs for those standing out in the cold. One was a traditional Christmas carol, O Come All Ye Faithful, and the other was I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday. Fans chimed in when they knew the words and the sounds of the season probably could be heard for quite a distance as the joyful noise celebrate the season.
Bono has serenaded the people of Grafton Street on Christmas Eve for the past few years and each year it is a success. Not only do the fans who met the star on the street get to hear him firsthand, the money collected helps those folks in need during the holidays.
