Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident early Friday at 2:25 am in Florida near his home, he was taken to the hospital and released a few hours later. The Florida Highway Patrol first reported that his injuries were serious, but a Woods’ spokesman stated that he was treated at the hospital and is in good condition, with minor injuries.
The highway patrol said that Tiger Woods “had just pulled out of the driveway at his residence ... as [vehicle] began to drive on Deacon Circle, [vehicle] struck a fire hydrant. The front of [vehicle] then struck a tree..."
ESPN News reported that Tiger Woods has “facial lacerations.”
The highway patrol stated that the crash did not involve alcohol.
In 2008, Tiger Woods underwent his third arthroscopic knee surgery in Park City, Utah. He missed two months of the PGA Tour while he recovered.
