Oh, there are just so many things one could write about these video snippets from a show on The Word Network called Rejoice in the Word, but this Christian TV Examiner writer will simply choose to let her readers Google and read and judge for themselves.
WATCH VIDEO: BISHOP BLOOMER SPEAKS WITH HIS FRIEND ABOUT INTERVIEW
One of the teaser videos shows William G. McCray – a blogger better known as "Obnoxious" online – and his interview with Rejoice in the Word host Bishop George Bloomer.
It’s that segment that shows McCray explaining – at a painstakingly slow length – why he chooses to cover events in the Christian world worth speaking about, chiefly the Bishop Eddie Long debacle.
As I writer, I could relate to much of what McCray was saying, save for the fact that he kind of twisted Bishop T.D. Jakes’ words in making it seem like Jakes was a-okay with the boys only being 16 years of age, because that was the legal limit.
In an earlier piece where Bishop Jakes appeared on CNN in this video, I wrote, “Bishop Jakes noted that the young men involved in the New Birth scandal were older, not 10-year-old boys -- and that we still don't know what happened.”
After that, Bishop Jakes spoke a little more at length about Eddie Long and imperfect Christians in a video interview with Roland Martin.
So there we have it, lawsuit talks and all measure of things abound with the Obnoxious situation – and who knows where any of that will go.
I’m learning these days more and more about forgiveness – about heaping those burning coals upon our enemies heads by just doing good to them and praying for them and – oh yes, most importantly, leaving room for our Most High God to bring any revenge or correction.

Another video on the same page displays Bishop Bloomer speaking with his friend and co-host, Dr. Darrell Scott, senior pastor of the New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
The interview itself is scheduled to air Friday, January 27th, at 8:30 PM EST / 7:30 PM CST, on The Word Network.
And as we can see from a preview at the end of one video, Juanita Bynum is also scheduled to appear in a future February episode.
