Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) opened this event by throwing roses from a briefcase to fans. He then welcomed the cast to the stage while dancing to Michael Jackson’s song “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough’.” Special shout outs were given to new Avengers: Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Paul Bettany (The Vision), James Spader (who plays a robot named Ultron), and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch).

Chris Hemsworth (Thor) quickly won the muscle flex battle with Chris Evans (Captain America). When asked about how he compares Chris Hemsworth’s rib cage to himself, Chris Evans replied, “There’s no comparison. I mean come on, it’s very difficult to stand next to him. He is Thor. He’s not just a costume. It’s difficult to keep up.” And then when asked how he does keeps up, Chris Evans confessed with a big grin, “CGI.” You can watch our two VIDEOs here: Chris Evans Captain America at Comic-Con 2014 and Chris Hemsworth Thor at Comic-Con 2014.

Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) was hysterical confessing, “They don’t treat me like this at home, that’s for sure.” When the crowds started cheering, Moderator Chris Hardwick said, “Don’t get him excited, that’s when he gets mad.” And then the fans replied, “We want him to get excited.”

Sam Jackson (Nick Fury) was the season veteran who did not hold back on his love for the con, “Comic-Con is phenomenal… I’ve been coming here since Episode 1 of Star Wars. It seems like every year I come here and it validates the fact that I makes me feel like going out and making movies. We make movies because we want to entertain you guys. And I make movies because I want to see myself in them. It’s the perfect combination for me. All this love. It just energizes me. I can’t wait to come back next year.”

Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) brought new energy to the panel and cast. She revealed how her character will add spice to the story, “It’s fun to bring a new element to the game. There’s now magic…It brings up where Marvel’s going with their other films. It feels like the beginning.”

The major disappointment was that the panel ended 20 minutes early and each star only got about two minutes. Hall H panels usually run until 7pm and this event ended around 6:40pm. Fan questions were skipped, and they instead closed with a video announcement from Chris Pratt (star of “Guardians of The Galaxy ” that opens next Friday August 1st) announcing “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” for July 28, 2017. There could have been at least four superhero panels (Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America) from this cast of characters.

Big thanks to Moderator Chris Hardwick for the laughs and superhero love once again in Comic-Con Hall H. Go see the new film “Avengers: Age of Ultron” next May 2015. And then come back to Comic-Con to see Sam Jackson in 2015.
