In what is turning out to be be a common theme conservative-minded protest are extensively covered and hyped while liberal protest receive little to no coverage. The claim that the "liberal" media favors Democrats is certainly not holding true today as Tea Party protests, even those with poor attendance, receive extensive coverage while equally well attended pro-reform protests are ignored.
Even with the kind of free advertising shown below the Tea Party Express has not drawn the "thousands" that were talked about earlier. Instead as one CNN article notes the rallies are merely drawing "hundreds" even with funding from a conservative political action committee. Still even with the small attendance CNN devotes a large column to the tiny gathering. CNN even goes as far as to quote protester after protester allowing them to make bold claims with no fact-checking done by CNN.
The coverage given to the Tea Party Express by Fox News and CNN may be excusable if both organizations devoted equal time to pro-reform meetings. Organizing for America held a number of meetings throughout the country this weekend and these meetings were almost completely ignored. I guess you have to make strong and unfounded statements in order for CNN or Fox News to give you air and print time.

Dude, we've seen your rabid Acorn red shirts and your SEIU goons in brown shirts and all of the mass-made, professionally printed signs held up by your CraigsList paid activists. Rest assured, they're getting their deserved share of attention and are recognized for what they are.
Google Tea Party Express and see how many networks are actually reporting on this. CBS, ABC, NBC all seem to be unaware of the event.

Mr. Witt - Would you please wake-up. Stop clinging to your dearly held liberal political beliefs long enough to ask yourself some fundamental questions AND stop characterizing this as some right-wing conservative phenomenon. This is NOT about partisan politics. However, this IS about the fundamental nature and role of our government.
Ask yourself:
1) Do you think the way our government is handling the United State's budget is justified? I mean come on - Trillion dollar deficits, massive foreign debt ownership, buying its own debt with money it prints at will, nationalizing industries in the name of recovery, providing bailout handouts that benefit a few even in the face of majority opposition, "borrowing" money from both the Medicare and SSN trust funds, thus effectively bankrupting these programs.
The core is rotten; liberal or conservative we and future generations will all reap the reward
It might be helpful if you actually read the Constitution.
These two eyes do not lie. Even ABC news admitted that there are likely 1.2 million people at this rally and that Washington DC is shut down by traffic jams from people wanting to get to the rally. YOU ARE NOT TELL THE TRUTH.
