La Llorona is an urban legend that bears an eerie resemblance to the story of Susan Smith, who drowned her children to be with a man. That's what La Llorona did, too, and when he rejected her, she killed herself and now wanders the earth in eternal search for the youngsters she murder.
This year the legend comes to life at Halloween Horror Nights 23. This is how the haunted house is described on the official website:
She is known as the weeping woman. Her legend is one of tragedy... and of murder. She drowned her children in the cold, watery depths and now torments all who hear her with icy, mournful cries. Forced to walk the earth for eternity, she seeks others to share her pain and suffering, now and forever.
