Video shows highlights of Chocolate Kingdom chocolate factory tour in Kissimmee

Chocolate Kingdom recently opened near Walt Disney World in Kissimmee, offering mouthwatering chocolate treats, as well as a museum and factory tour. What exactly will you see if you sign up to go through the museum and factory, which costs $15 for adults and $12 for kids? Click the video at lower left for some tour highlights.

The tour lasts about 45 minutes to an hour and runs through the history of chocolate, right up to present day factories. Then you see the machinery that transforms the innocent-looking little beans into delicious confections. You'll taste the beans on the tour, as well as sample a chocolate beverage and try a final treat of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate candy.

Want to design your very own chocolate bar? That's a $5 option at the end of the tour, and it's well worth the price. Pick your favorite kind of chocolate and three add-ins and you'll get your very own custom-made bar.

You can visit the chocolate store to stock up on goodies without going on the tour. Chocolate Kingdom is located right next to Fun Spot, just off Highway 192 near the I-4 expressway. The store is open every day, from noon to 8 p.m. Tours depart every hour.

Tours are suitable for all ages. Even though they're educational, they're also designed with a family friendly slant as guests help a handsome prince on his quest to win the hand of the fair princess Chocolina.
