Two of the most powerful women in America will dominate the news on Monday when Oprah airs her interview with Sarah Palin next Monday. CBS is leaking out small clips of the interview as they try to promote Oprah's upcoming show. Promotional mission accomplished as now everyone is reporting on just two minutes of the interview as if we were kittens hooked on catnip.
In the first clip below Palin acknowledges that the Katie Couric interview she gave during the presidential campaign "wasn't good." At the same time she seems to hesitate at calling the interview pivotal in the campaign. Many commentators said the Couric interview is when Palin was first exposed as a lightweight to everyone but the most hard core conservatives who still follow her. Tina Fey's SNL impersonation of Palin in the interview became an internet sensation soon after and Palin lost credibility with many voters as a result.
In the second clip Palin take the high road in her dispute with Levi Johnston. Palin expresses hope that ultimately things can become more amicable between her and Johnston and encourages him to be a good father to his child.

Yes, let's call her a lightweight because of one interview, where Couric was obviously out to get her.
I couldn't stand to watch another interview after that pompous Charlie Gibson talked down to her over the top of his glasses all through it and demanded a definition of the 'Bush Doctrine'. Like anyone even knew or cared that he had a 'doctrine'!
(She did know that she hadn't been to 57 states!)
She deserved no credit for an 85% approval rating in her own state. She deserved no credit for cleaning up corruption in her own party. She deserved no credit for the good things she did with her state's natural resources to help the citizens. She deserved no credit for 'not being a hypicrite' about abortion!
Libs hate conservatives when they're hypocrites and when they're not hypocrites.
Let's be 'fair' to the terrorists, but we know all we need to know about this lady, don't we?
If anyone thinks this woman is a lightweight they have no concept of where politics is going.
As I have commented before on other stories about Sarah;
She is a 21st Century politician, she is using the memes and metaphors and the technology of modern politics. She changed her approach when the Liberals tried to use legal loopholes against her. She learned from the little John McCain Camgaign show...not to play someones else's game, but rather her own.
The personality parade that is Liberal politics is trying their darndest to reengage her IN THEIR GAME. Will she stumble a little bit in her contacts with this destuction machine going forward? Sure. But not enough to derail her. And she knows it.
She also knows how to keep these gamesters on their toes. And most importantly, that there is a huge base of Conservatives that support her because of what she believes.
