Video: Rep. Patrick Kennedy is upset with the media over Massa scandal. In an all out screaming response to Eric Massa and the media attention that his investigation is taking, Patrick Kennedy is upset. Kennedy, D-RI is upset because they are “laying of laws down in the nation” and the press is more concerned “24/7” with what Eric Massa is doing. Kennedy’s voice actually squeaks a few times when he repeats that there is “no press” in the House. See the video below of Kennedy's speech.
Kennedy has already announced his retirement late this year, made a screaming speech on the House floor Wednesday. His anger is against the media and called them “despicable” for focusing on the sexual harassment allegations and ignoring the debate over the war in Afghanistan.
Eric Massa, D-NY announced last week that he will step down because of a recent cancer scare, and would not seek re-election. He did not say anything in the announcement about the House ethics investigation about his alleged sexual harassment of two male staffers. Both stories came out last Wednesday.
Massa appeared on Glenn Beck this week and said that he was forced out by Democrats in Congress who wanted to eliminate his "no" vote on the health care reform bill.
Massa said: "Mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill. This administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots."
People in the state of Utah are generally big supporters of Glenn Beck and his show, and Glenn Beck has made several trips to Utah to speak, but supporters have declined in the state because of some of the outlandish comments he has made over the past few months, according to Salt Lake Tribune blogs.
