The View has released a preview clip of President Barack Obama's hour-long interview which airs Thursday.

In the clip released by ABC, The View madam Barbara Walters asked Obama to describe the toughest parts of the last month. Of course, she couldn't just ask it like that. In classic Barbara Walters cheesecloth covered camera fashion, she asked the leader of the free world: "in the last month, what has been the rose and what has been the thorn?"

Obama responded that the "rose" had been his family vacation.
"Thorn?" Barbara Walters then queried.
Obama launched into some talk about the nightmarish economy, job prospects and wars and then said: "As much as you say it's been tough for me, the truth is it hasn't been tough for me. You know, I've got people-pundits on the news who may say things about me, but you think of what the American people have gone through-losing jobs, they're home values going down, their 401ks declining. I mean those are the folks who I draw inspire from because I get letters every night from them and as tough it's been, they remain optimistic about America, so I don't spend a lot of time worrying about me."
Obama will reportedly speak to all five of the women, including conservative pundit Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
