Police discover badly burned body was a former Playboy model. Wednesday, the body of Paula Sladewski, a former Playboy model, 26, was identified through her dental records by Miami police. The body was found Sunday and was "burned beyond recognition" said local police.
The police have asked for anyone to come forward if they have any information about this murder.
CNN reported: "It's so horrific. They'd have to be a monster. It's a dastardly act," North Miami police spokesman Lt. Neal Cuevas. "It's the most heinous thing that a person can do to another person."
Sladewski's body was placed in a trash bin and set on fire, firefighters were called and when the flames were out they discovered the body which wasn’t recognizable.
"It was just total, total, disfigurement," Cuevas told CNN. "You couldn't even tell that it was a woman or a man or even what race."
Sladewski's boyfriend has been called a person of interest, and not a suspect. Sladewski told friends she feared for her life. The couple was vacationing in Florida, and went to a club on New Year’s Eve. The boyfriend said he was kicked out of the club, took a cab back to their hotel and never saw her again. He called the police the next morning when she didn’t return to the hotel. He also called hospitals and jails looking for her. The police have not identified him by name.
Another case of a burned body found near the end of the year, Utah police found a badly burned body of a woman on December 29. Police suspect that the woman with an estimated of 40-55 years of age, covered herself with a flammable liquid and set herself on fire. They have not been able to identify the woman.
