Saturday night, police in North Carolina stated that they have charged a missing child’s mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis with human trafficking, felony child abuse, prostitution and filing a false police report. Shaniya Davis, 5 has been missing since Tuesday, November 10 when her mother reported her missing.
A hotel surveillance video identified Mario Andrette McNeill as the man who kidnapped Shaniya. McNeill has been charged with first degree kidnapping and has been questioned by police all night, and he has not given up any information. McNeill, 29 is the ex-boyfriend of Antoinette Nicole Davis’ sister. The police do not know where Shaniya is.
Clarence Coe was arrested on Thursday for kidnapping, but since the hotel surveillance video was released, he has been released and police have stated that they do not believe he is involved. Coe is one of the people who identified McNeill from the hotel video.
CNN stated that there have been reports that there have been other children in the home, but the police have not said anything about them. The police have asked for people to come forward if they have information on Shaniya Davis’ whereabouts - contact the Fayetteville Police at 910-433-1856.
Human trafficking is a growing problem around the country, including Utah. It is one of the top three most profitable hidden industries. The Utah Human Trafficking task force includes two agencies that are funded through the US Dept of Justice. They support efforts to investigate and prosecute cases, and help victims, according to the FBI office in Salt Lake City.

I have a feeling the sister's ex bf did this on his own for molestation purposes. I think he may have thrown the mom's name out there as a red herring. I may be wrong, but if Shaniya is still alive why wouldnt he tell police where she is now?? Was there any video of him LEAVING the motel with Shaniya alive?? He may have been trying to muddy the waters up by accusing the mother. Just a thought.
