PETA's ad "State of the Union: Undressed" has trumped previous efforts by celebrity Pam

PETA's "State of the Union: Undressed" ad is taking the typically-naked PETA ads a step further by promising to go even further in 2010.

To kick off the year (and their ad campaign) PETA launched their online video, titled "State of the Union: Undressed" featuring a spokesperson for the campaign go from business attire to nothing but bare skin.
The online video, which ensures users are "of age" before clicking forward, eventually shows a PETA ad with a naked spokesperson, a real person, going to the limits many celebrities have gone in the past years to make a point on behalf of PETA.
"In 2006, PETA was encouraged by the successful efforts of our celebrity supporters," the PETA ad says, half-undressed. "Pamela Anderson posed topless in a store window in London to make the point that she would rather bare skin than wear skin."
The video, which aired in conjunction with the official State of the Union address with President Barack Obama has garnered the much-derived internet attention the organization hoped for and is sure to follow with even more head-turning ads.
One ad aired by the animal rights organization, which was intended to air during the 2010 Super Bowl, was banned for being "too hot" for TV. See that ad here.
Ironically, celebrity vegan and PETA supporter Alicia Silverstone appeared on The Oprah Show today to talk about her new "21-day Vegan Kickstart" diet.
