Severe storms moved across northern Oklahoma and dumped 1-inch diameter hail on traffic driving on Interstate 35. The traffic was slowed down considerably in and around Perry, OK due to several inches of hail accumulating on the interstate.
Weather Paparazzi Tony Laubach shot this HD video package that starts out with POV driving shots as the hail starts to fall. Footage continues while passing a vehicle that spun out into the center median. Remainder of the footage shot while driving through the deep hail and ends while outside on the side of the interstate under an overpass. Footage shows how deep that hail was as people that stopped to let the storm pass had to clean the hail off their cars as if it was snow. B-Roll of quarter sized hail as well as other post-storm shots.
